Privacy policy

Vivechana (vivechana.org) is run by iDefender IT Services Pvt Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have.

It covers this website only. When we set up and run platforms for a client, the data inside those platforms is governed by our written agreement with that client; there the client decides how its data is used and we act on its instructions.

What we collect

  • When you send the contact form: your name, company, work email, phone number (optional), company size, the platforms you are interested in, and your message.
  • When you book a walkthrough: the booking page is Google Calendar's appointment page, run by Google. Google receives the details you enter there under its own privacy policy, and we receive the booking (your name, email and the time you chose).
  • When you email us or message us on WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send.
  • When you visit any page: the site is delivered through Amazon Web Services. Like any web server, it processes your IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to deliver the page, and may keep short-lived logs for security.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking services. The fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts.

The site keeps one item in your browser's storage, called viv-theme, which remembers whether you chose the day or night look. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange and hold the walkthrough you asked for.
  • To prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of our correspondence.
  • To keep the website secure and working.

We do not add you to a marketing list without your consent, and we never sell, rent or trade personal information.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the site and our replies work, each bound by its own terms: Amazon Web Services (hosting), Web3Forms (which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox), Google (the booking calendar, if you use it) and WhatsApp (if you message us there). Some of these providers may process data outside India.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to a lawful request from a government or court.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if we work together, for the length of that relationship. After that we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or erase it, withdraw any consent you have given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. You may also raise a grievance with us, and if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To make a request, write to info@idefender.io. We will reply as soon as we can and within the time the law allows.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted connections. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is meant for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Other websites

Links on this site lead to our product apps (AskDocs, AskMe, MeetNoTime and RelayZap), to Google Calendar, WhatsApp and idefender.io, and, under "Ask AI about us", to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok and Claude with a question about Vivechana filled in. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy, which applies once you are there.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
